Plain twining continues to the rim where there is a 1/2 inch of crossed warp open work. The rim is comprised of one weft row of plain twining over two warps. The main design is three sets of diagonally stacked parallelograms flanked by stacked triangles. The basket has a rightward work direction, with up to the right slant of weft twist. The workface is on the exterior. The overlay is single-sided, with the design on the exterior. The basket is from Northwest California.
