Coiled, globular; slightly oval. Sumac sewing, design woven in Juncus rush. Tag "Mission Type Oval Bowl Yucca Juncus". Per Ralph Shanks: Coiled oval globular bowl. Not used. It has a bundle foundation, not deergrass. The background wefts are a light material and the designs are orange and black-dyed juncus. The design is 12 female figures. The basket has an oval starting knot. The basket has an exterior workface with a rightward work direction. The weft fag ends are clipped and bound under. The rim is plain wrapped with a tapered coil ending. The use of materials and the clipped fag ends suggests this is could possibly be Cahuilla.
