Seeds (lolas) for food. The specimen is a mixture of fruits with accessory structures of Polygonum sp., dock, Polygonaceae, and seeds of Mentzelia spp., blazingstar, Loasaceae. Other items found and placed in gelatin capsules: 32 caryopses of Secale cereale L., rye, Poaceae; 29 achenes of Madia sativa Molina., coast tarweed, Asteraceae; 17 seeds of Chenopodium sp., goosefoot, Chenopodiaceae; 17 nutlets of Amsinckia spp., fiddleneck, Boraginaceae; 6 florets of Bromus carinatus Hook & Arn., California brome, Poaceae; 3 seeds of Collomia grandiflora Douglas ex Lindl., grand collomia, Polemoniaceae; 2 florets of Bromus commutatus Schrad., hairy chess, Poaceae; 2 seeds of Linum lewisii Pursh., Lewis’ flax, Linaceae.
