China. Vase, porcelain; bottle shaped vase with 'mirror black' glaze. Bulbous ovoid belly, long, narrow cylindrical neck; inside of foot ring glazed white except rim. The exterior glaze is deep glossy black, narrow band of chocolate brown below rim of mouth. Glaze-runoff has been filed off foot rim. Interior is white. Neck has been broken and mended with piece missing. Some 'pinholes' in glaze near base. Height 21.8 centimeters, max diameter 12.5 centimeters.
