'mola'; 4 layer applique: red ground, yellow and green second layer, multicolored 3rd 'tas-tas' layer, and black top layer. machete design, 4 units of 2 facing pairs of machetes, 'tas-tas' filler; added applique "buttons" on machete handles; added horizontal band of fret work on top of 'mola'. horizontal band has orange ground, green 2nd layer, black 3rd, and red top; band is joined by body of 'mola' by machine stitching. rest of mola is hand stitched. MariLyn Salvadore: crudely worked, horribly example as it 3-27477. in 1974 machete designs were a fad in mola motifs; both this and 3-27477 are copied from same or similar molas; 43.3 x 33.5 cm.
