Description:
From Cat Card: Shawl, "Japanese Pongee Print Natural Background." Constructed of two pieces of cloth sewn together down the middle. Printed with running pattern of women in kimonos, lanterns, houses, and mountains. Sewn together lengthwise to form rectangular shawl. Edges hemmed, knotted multi-color fringe added to all four sides. Seam down middle sewn with zig-zag stitch. Stored in a trunk since 1930 (prior to donation to PAHMA) c.1925
