Description:
Patun squash katsina (kachina); carved and painted wooden figure. Human body with melon shaped head. Entire head and body are painted green with black stripes. Melon head has a stem at rear. Wears a shell neck pendant, turquoise blue arm bands, a silver and turquoise brracelet on left wrist, black bands with tassels on knees and right wrist, black kilt with blossom and cloud symbols and turquoise blue belt; bare footed. Carries a blossom and yucca whip. A.L. Sahmie, carver.
