The warp material is hazel. The wefts are possibly willow. The basket is plain twined, with the distance between weft rows increasing from the starting knot, and then decreasing at the last three rows below the rim. The rim is trimmed. The basket has an up to the right slant of weft twist. The work direction is to the right. The workface is on the exterior. The basket is from Northwestern California.
