Medal Minted in 1972. Indian Tribal Series. On Obverse: scene of a person on horseback chasing wild horses. In the background is Mount Adams. Tepees are on the edge of a lake. Inscription: “Sovereign Nation of the Yakima” Mount Adams” “Treaty Lands Returned by Pres. Nixon May 1972” On reverse: Projectile point with an eagle holding the inscription: “Yakima Nation”. Behind the eagle is a mountain and around the inside edges of the projectile point are stars. The rest of the inscription is: Confederated Tribes and Bands.” “Treaty of 1855”
