Woman's silver head ornament (tas za na glava 0 "bowl for the head"); tax stamp on top and underneath; Near Eastern coins pendant from rim (one coin is European); 12.4 cm diameter. Worn on head by young married women as ornament. Hair is arranged in a special fashion. Tas is placed on top over a cushion of cloth. A thin kerchief is tied over all. Used for first time at wedding. Used subsequently on special festivals. Worn in many villages in Northwestern Macedonia and Kossovo-Metohija. Made by silversmith during Turkish period.
