Per Ralph Shanks: Twined tourist trade basket bottle cap with handle. The warps are hazel. The weft is conifer root. The weft overlay background is beargrass, with designs in maidenhair fern. The basket has a crossed warp starting knot covered with beargrass. The basket is plain twined. The rim is trimmed. The design is two rows of alternating beargrass and maidenhair fern. The basket as an up to the right slant of weft twist, an exterior workface, and a rightward work direction. The overlay is on the exterior. The basket is from Northwestern California.
