Ashanti fertility figure, carved wood, painted black. large, flat, disk shaped head with small features, stylized hair designs on back, holes for earrings at sides of head and holes at top for stringing; long neck with 4 neck rings indicated; small, elongated body, short legs, right breast missing, strings of beads around upper arms, wrist, and knees. Beads: 1 red and blue strung around upper arms 2 green, blue, white--wrists 1 green, blue, white--right knee 1 red, blue, green, white--left knee Conservation: Nipple and part of left foot missing.
