MATERIALS, TECHNIQUES: Backstrap-loomed, plain weave,cotton threads, white singles. Creya stripe is 8 red singles. Suppl weft cotton and silk floss. Head hole slit, bound with black velveteen, sleeve opening bound with black velveteen. CONTEXT OF USE: Creya style or red bands at shoulders, creya area is not weft-faced but weft predominant. One to two blue or purple cotton singles twisted with white and used in alternating directions in only two weft rows creating a herringbone; with each twisted herringbone are two row of red cotton woven with a white natural fiber (wool?). CONSERVATION: good, but ripped and frayed at back neck opening.
