- bowl with flat rim, annular base; design of 3 double gourds (blue, white, green) with red and yellow cords around necks on ground of blue wave design; “comb” pattern on base (blue and white); blue on white design on underside of bowl is 3 repeats of bow-knots around overlapping circles with diamond-like designs within; native name and meaning: "iro nabeshima" (enabled Nabeshima [ware]); rim diameter: 20.5 cm made for use by Naba Shima family during the Edo period (18th century) as tableware. The "comb" pattern on foot's rim was not allowed to be imitated by other kilns. tag on bottom of plate: "No. 814 $40.00" made by Okochi Kiln
