Baby basket; twined. Warp is Willow (Salix), weft is yellow Pine. Rim bound with same. Dirty and in very poor condition; smashed and falling apart; strips of cloth have been tied on for crude repairs. Oval-shaped. Openwork with groups of 3 rows of tight plain twining, the third row turned the opposite direction. Thinner rim (than 1-16571) stitched around all the way, excepting the top perhaps. Ties and loops are of denim; other colored cotton strips are attached. Carrying strap is attached; also has cotton string. An attempt was made to repair a large hole at the bottom with fabric strips.
