Description:
Cast of mirror stem statuette of Aphrodite (Greek: Venus). From a Greek bronze found in a tomb in the valley of the Kladeos near Olympia. The art of it is close kin to the sculptures of the Olympian gable groups. This places the statuette about the middle of the 5th Century B.C. Compare Olympia IV page 27 and Friederichs-Wolters 357.
