Exhibit Label - 2019 - Krisa Fredrickson Incense Pop-Up Beaver scent pouches (pumam skish) like these were hung or worn by indigenous communities in the Klamath River region as room fresheners or to prevent sore eyes. Castoreum, or the secretion from the sac of North American beavers, is used in perfumery today to suggest a "leather" scent.
