Description:
Wall hanging; vertical tapestry weave (Kossu) fabric “painting”; scene of rocks, trees, river, boat, 3 fishermen, bridge, hills, houses and birds w/ red sun and red highlights; faces on men are painted as is part of boat & folds in clothing. Ground is natural beige; rocks, structures, trees, boats, birds and land forms are brown, peach, gray, tan & muliple shades of blue. Trees have very stylized leaves (from Chinese book on how each leaf should appear; clouds are outlined in two shades of blue. Piece is surrounded by a narrow green binding, hand sewn.
