Shawl. Wool, silk. Twill weave, embroidery, piecing. Red ground, multicolor. Wool paisley shawl, red twill ground. Cent. plain red w. 14½ inch border on all sides. Of border: ist 8 inches covered w. finely emb. multicolor paisley motif, medallion at each corner; next 3½ is flower-leaf-vine motif edged on each side w. ¾ inch border; final 3 inch made up of multicolor rectangels & squares pieced on each emb. w. fan motif. Fringe all around edges. Excellent condition. 67 inches by 66 inches.
