Openwork basket; twined. Warp and weft are Willow (Salix). Willow hoop. Medium size, openwork. Rounded bottom and top. Dirty and worn from use. Fragile. Mostly plain twined. Bottom done in more closely worked 3-strand twining. 3 top rows more closely worked. Warp ends twined together to form rim. Hoop tied to inside of rim with cloth strips. Carrying strap of sisal, very long. This type seems to be due to influence of the Athapaskans in Southern Humboldt county.
