Remarks: "Nos. 17088-17326, Shellmounds No. 407 and 412, Halfmoon Bay, San Mateo County, California. Collected by L.L. Loud, Nov. 18 to Dec. 17, 1912. Exact position of specimens in mound are expressed in feet; D stands for depth; N, S, E, and W for cardinal directions from east-west line and from north-south line intersecting at the highest point of the mound. The intersection of these two lines is "zero." It is also spoken of as "mound center." Diagrams filed with shellmound notes in general.
