The specimens represented in the series of paintings 17-147 - 17-166 were collected by the expedition supported by F. and B. T. B. Hyde, and in charge of George H. Pepper, at Pueblo Bonito, New Mexico, and are in the Hyde Collection in the American Museum of Natural History, New York.
