Comment:

Description from 1-221751: "...After excavating through 2 1/2" feet of black sandy soil mixed with ashes, a layer of hard yellow clay was reached. The skeleton lay in the clay at a depth of about six inches. The skeleton was partially burned. Ashes and charred coals ran the entire length of body. Among the coals and ashes were many pieces of small bird bones split and charred. A second curve [1-221752] and a portion of a third [753] were found by the head. (right side) A fragment of an arrow point [746] was just above the head. A flat curved rock [754] was lying to the right of the head 3 inches. A small pestle [755] was by the curved rock. A pebble and some beads [757] were scattered near the neck. Within 2 1/2 feet on either side of the body were found 5 broken pestles, 7 rub stones and a number of fragments of pestles and rocks.
