China. Bowl, porcelain, with overglaze enamel decoration. Hemispherical bowl on short cylindrical foot; slightly scalloped rim. Interior has small design of peach and bat on center bottom. Exterior-underside filled with decoration: four bats holding garland with two cash, alternating with four shou "longevity" seal characters, amid floral scrollwork. Colors include dark and light green, yellow, grey, coral-red, gilt, and linear black detail. Ming Dynasty reign mark of Ch'eg hua (1465-1487) in underglaze red on base. Trace of gilt on rim. Side broken and mended. Height 6.5 centimeters, diameter 16.6 centimeters.
