MATERIALS, TECHNIQUES: Cotton: white background. Geometric weft in red, yellow and green. Embroidery of silk floss in yellow, purple, light blue and magenta. Striped effect of weft. CONTEXT OF USE: Ceremonial or cofradía huipil, one of 27 huipiles from Sacapulas. Iconography: Geometric woven body. Embroidery in vase and leaf motif. Weaver's mark "Manuela(a)" in cursive on wrong side. CONSERVATION: Good. Some brown discoloration, and candle wax. Satin cloth well worn.
