Jar basket; coiled. Warp is Epicampes (Sporobolus rigens), weft is Redbud (Cercis occidentalis). Black pattern is Redbud, which is dyed. Large, globose, and finely woven. Decoration consists of triangular and rectangular designs executed in red. Designs and white material are made of redbud; sticks on the interior face are willow. 3-stick coiling with split stitching.

Native name and meaning: "kitceya" - triangular designs; "lowota" - rectangular design; "hisuma" - globose basket; "yuiuu" - willow; "tapatapu" - redbud. Remarks: If kept for 2 days or more in water, redbud turns from red to black. The designs on this basket exhibit various shades of this red-black continuum.
