Context of use:
A toggle or device attached to the end of a cord or rope to keep it from slipping; cord thrust under the sash of a kimono to support purse pouch, box, or basket (in absence of pockets). Possibly Ashinaga and Tenaga (Longlegs and Longarms) figures; "two legendary neighboring races, the one consisting of absurdly long-legged people with very short arms and the other of absurdly long-armed people with very short legs. they cooperated in catching fish." cf. pl. 416, 417. p. 166
