(a)Teapot, with (b)detached lid. General shape is an inverted egg-shape. Where the bottom would become a point, it flatens out for the bottom. Where it is the widest, it angles in sharply then flutes out as a small lip for the mouth which is gold trimmed and lightly waved. The mouth descends to make a lip to hold the lid (which is domed with a gold trimmed edge with a protruding knob). Within this circular lip, is a straightend section that acts as the lock for the lid (of which has a small "boot" that would be twisted to fit under the straightend section. The teapot handle is ear-shaped, attached to the top where it angles in sharply curving up and around to attach below the mid-section of the body, where it extends down 1.2cm. The spout connects to the mid-section of the body, angeling up sharply curving out to create a level pourer which ends slightly higher than the mouth. The crest is a smooth bevel shaped shield with an orange background. Tracing the shield shape within is a double edged line. Inside the middle section of the shield (surrounded by the yellow line) are three white towers. On either side of the shield is a spotted cat striding on its hind legs towards the shield, their front paws supporting the shield. Between the profile faced heads is the French phrase "Bon Accord". Each of the cats stands on a violet stand, draping from these stands is a yellow ribbon whose ends drap behind each stand. Written in the ribbon is: "Arms of Aberdeen". There are no makers mark, possible Arcadian China.
