- Drum with beater; (a) drum: 2-headed hourglass style encased in twisted leather strips; leather heads each with leather-trimmed painted cloth and bronze tongueless bells (7 and 9) tied to the ends; broken leather strap embellished with 4 British West Africa coins; two 4-lobed designs incised on drum = carver's marks; h. 46 cm.; (b) beater: wood with leather-wrapped tip; l. 24.7 cm.
