The new port where all the modern vessels dock is called Kilindini, but in the old port are to be found these Persian dhows which are sailed many thousands of miles from the Persian Gulf at a certain time of the winds, bringing dates, rugs, spices, and many beautiful objects of art to trade for ivory and hard woods.Rear and of an Arab Dowd in the Harbor of Old Mombasa.
