8 x 10" Negative. Image depicts four men, of the Wasara group, watching Paul L. Hoefler filling an expedition vehicle with oil. Hoefler's original description: "French Congo. Vacuum Oil Company. Near Fort Archambault, French Congo. These giants, called the Wasara, live in the wild and little known country of the French Congo that borders on the great desert. Here they are watching Paul L. Hoefler, leader of the Colorado African Expedition give his moto a drink of Mobil oil."
