Fabric panel: Twill weave; probably handspun; dark red background with large central panel with weft ikat pattern in green, red, and black diamond motifs with stepped diamonds and serpentine geometric patterns; yellow ikat narrow stripe 3cm from selvage; weft bands of darker red at ends; 4cm wide with ikat patterned weft stripw tih yellow borders on 1 end band; 18cm wide with 2 ikat patterned strips with green and yellow borders on other end band; both bands have thicker weft than body of piece; 3cm wide very find black thread warp is almost invisible in pattern with exception of dark red in selvages. L=199cm x W=84.5cm.
