Description:
8 x 10" Negative. Image shows four lions, one of which is staring directly at the camera. Hoefler's original description: "A family of four. There are four lions in this picture. The camera had been focused on the three lying down by the meat, but before the exposure could be made, the lioness came into the scene and got her picture taken also. She was a bit close, about fifteen feet from the camera which was hidden behind some thorn bush. One spring would have put her right over the camera and its operator, Mr. Hoefler."
