Ovoid jar with red and white checks similar to 8-1777. Description from Matteucig (1951): Jar; height: 38 cm; diameter: 34.5 cm (see Matteucig's plate XV, 10). Impasto type E. Clay light red with sandy particles; shiny red surface; decoration in matt cream. Low neck with thick lip; ovoid body on flat base. Checker decoration covers only upper half of vase. Restored from several fragments. Cf. no. 8-1577 and Montelius, pl. 207, no. 3, from Pitigliano.
