8 x 10" Negative. Paul L Hoefler posing next to members of the Wasara tribe. Hoefler's original description: "France Congo, in the Land of Giants. Paul L. Hoefler visits their chief. The WASARA are a tribe of giants living in the French Congo near the Sara River. It is difficult to approach these people but here the leader of the Colorado African Expedition is returning from a visit to the tribal chief. Note the scars on the faces of these big men. These are charms to keep away evil spirits and bring good luck, etc."
