Coiled, globular basket. Two tags. First tag on bottom "Mission 15 Mar 24 '38". Second hanging tag "Mission 15 Mar 24, 1938". Per Ralph Shanks: Coiled globular basket. Deergrass bundle foundation. Sumac background weft with black dyed juncus designs. The design is a derivative of the geometric hourglass shaped butterfly design, abstracted to a v inside a square. Exterior workface with a rightward work direction with bound under weft fag ends. The coil ending has a half an inch of herringbone stitch.
