Description:
8 x 10" Negative. Image depicts members of the Nigerian Regiment. Hoefler's original description: "Officers of the Nigerian Regiment. The four battalions of the Nigerian Regiment are stationed one each at Kaduna, Kano, Calabar, and Ibadan. This regiment was formed 30 years ago by the famous Gernal Lugard, and during the world war they were the troops that conquered the German Camerrons and were afterwards sent to East Africa to help there. The bulk of the privates at Hausa tribesmen, if which the two Aides shown in photo are good examples.
