Lid; brass, lost wax cast, from gold dust box, rectangular, perimeter decorated with raised ridges. four sitting duck-like fowl in center, bottom wit ridge to fit inside box. 8 x 3.5 x 1 cm. Used in conjunction with the gold dust currency which flourished on the Ivory Coast from the 1400's through 1800's.
