- Paski katsina (kachina); carved and painted cotton wood root figure. Red-brown painted body; white face has black rectangular eyes on a squared black mouth. Blue and red feathers are painted on each cheek. Has long, straight black hair with a feather top-knot. Wears a black leather breech-clout on a turquoise belt decorated with cloud and rainbow symbols. Black yarn ties around each leg and right wrist. Shell necklace, turquoise/silver bracelet and white painted hand holding a modern hoe complete the accessories. Barefoot, animal fur tail attached beneath breech-clout. A.L. Sahmie, carver.
