- Description:
- China. Bowl, porcelain; famille rose decoration. Deep, with low belly, nearly straight sides to slightly turned out rim. Dark red flower and grey and green leaves on center bottom. Lozange-diaper pattern band with four oval medallions inset near rim. Medallions have polychrome floral designs; diaper pattern divided into four panels: yellow, grey, emerald green, and light green. Outerside has all-over design of large and small flowers in many colors, including peony, lotus, chrysanthemums, all in enamels with fine-lined black outline and detail. Base has six-character Ch'ien Lung (1736-1795)reign mark within double circle in underglaze blue. Height 8.9 centimeters, diameter 17.9 centimeters.
