Navajo rug; red ground; large diamond shaped designs in black, red, green and white horizontal bands in white; cross of red or yellow-green within several of the diamonds. Native handspun wool. Note with blanket dates it to late 1870's to early 1880's. Adaptation of "chief blanket".
