8 x 10" Negative. Image depicts bat eared foxes on the Serengeti Plains, Tanganyika (Tanzania). Hoefler's original description: "Serengeti Plains, Tanganyika (Tanzania). Baby bat eared foxes. These wild doggies, as some folks here call them, feed mostly on insects, and whenever we wanted them to have a big feed, would set the lamp on the ground after dark, and soon bugs of all sorts from tiny flying ants to huge beetles weighing several ounces, would gather at the light and our foxes would scurry around in high glee, eating from the flying horde until they nearly popped."
