Box; brown lacquer with nine compartments; a - lid, brown with orange bird, pastel flowers and leaves outlined with gold, gold key design, diam. 29 cm, 5 cm deep; b - base, brown with gold key design, diam. 29.5 cm, 2 cm deep; c - octagonal section, orange inside with gold edge, 10 cm wide; d - k - truncated pie shape sections, orange inside with gold edge, 4 cm at narrow end. China, Hong Kong, Northern or Central China, from Mainland China Native name: Chun hap - box of plenty Wood lacquer Holds sweetmeats, lucky packets of money for children.
