Ibo/Igbo mask. carved and painted wood. very large, elongated face with large mouth with 2 protruding teeth; crosshatched band across forehead; 2 birds on head for 4 post (2 head, 2 tails). very deeply carved eye/cheek recesses. several wooden pegs protrude from each side. knob below chin, 2 holes in upper forehead for attachments. Conservation: Crack in tab edge; 1 tusk chipped; one bird tail broken off (pieces stored with mask). Ibo Mask (Udi, 2, 2300) Very large, man with bird. Black-white red. sticky.
