- Ashanti fertility figure (reproduction?); carved and painted wood. cylindrical body with straight conical arms and small breasts, minimal protruding naval with 4 rings around neck. large, flat, disk-like head with small eyes, nose, and mouth. scarification marks on forehead, cheeks, back of head. entire figure painted black. Conservation: Paint worn through to wood in several places. Cracked in base/back. Old chip out of base.
