- Mask, miniature, anthropomorphic; reddish brown patinated surface with some encrustation; upper half on lower plane than lower half; nose and mouth in full relief. Height 11.7 cm. “Miniature replicas of these masks were carried by men so that they could benefit fro the power of their family mask; these maskettes had power of their own and the sections of kola nuts in divination were touched to them before being cast on the ground.”
