Shawl; 76 x 145 cm; knotted area 50 cm; 22 cm tassel added to warp threads to form the fringe; white ground with uniform ikat pattern; band of dark blue with ikat patterns at each end in zigzag across textile; knotted area is starched and uses bunched warp threads plus added threads; bands across knotting of birds, narrow zigzag line or flowers; birds are identical to those on 16-20208; fringe made by adding stiff (cotton, starched?) strings to warp threads
