Description: "15 3/8" x 1 5/8" Quadrangular section; round handle (handle shaped to taper from shoulders to a blunt point). Hardwood. 1. I'E KUKU, a finishing beater. Grooves on three sides are 1) 9, 2) 11, 3) 13; these sides are called "pepehi". One side has 15 grooves; this side is "ho'opa'i". See p. 172 and p. 171, Fig. 111c and d.
