Netsuke: Carved ivory, depicting itinerant entertainer (manzai), one foot on drum (taiko), smiling and holding Kyogen mask to one side (Kyogen is the comic interlude of a Noh performance). The mask represents Hyottoko, a man with twisted mouth, popping eye, and lump on forehead. Dark stone inlaid studs on top and bottom rims of drum. Signature on bottom of drum. Some detail in black paint. Cord holes on
