4 x 5" Black and white negative of a gathering for morning prayers. Hoefler's original description: "Bhopal State, Central India, Gathering for Friday morning prayers. On foot, on horseback, by motor car and in bullock carts, the citizens of Bhopal came flocking from all directions in the early morning toward the huge Mosque where early prayers are said. A Mohammedan is exceedingly faithful to his religious beliefs and early hours do not prevent him from attending services.
